P.C. school budget will raise tax levy by 3.31%

The Port Chester Board of Education approved a $79.56 million budget Thursday evening which will raise the tax levy by 3.31%. That represents a 2.94% budget-to-budget increase.
The board voted 4-1 in favor of the spending plan, with Trustee Blanca Lopez dissenting.
The 2011-12 tax rate for homeowners, if approved by voters on May 17, will be $14.46 per thousand dollars of
