Although the Archdiocese of New York continues to finalize possible widespread parish closures, including several in Westchester County , the first domino has yet to fall as the month draws to a close. The northbound Merritt Parkway and northbound Hutchinson River Parkway on the Connecticut-New York border reopened early Tuesday evening after being closed for nearly eight hours after a tractor-trailer truck slammed into a bridge and caught fire.
