The Nine Month Old "Bart Didden For Mayor" Facebook Page Only Has 66 Narrow Minded People Who Will Publicly Admit They Are Fans Of Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot" Didden

In Port Chester, a village of over 30,000 people, elections are determined by a shockingly small number of votes.

Although some Port Chester residents have said they felt their vote doesn't count, one only has to look to the to 2009's Board of Education election. In that race, board member Blanca Lopez edged running mate Carolee Brakewood by four votes.

Ms. Brakewood ran again and won, and now serves on that board.

Or the election where former Trustee Jerry DiRoberto won by just one vote.

So in an off year mayoral election like this, every vote really counts.

Mayoral Wanna Be And Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot" Didden needs to find at least 900 racists in Port Chester if he even hopes to have a shot at being elected.

Bart "The Bigot" Didden Is Going To Need A Hell Of A Lot More Than The 66 Narrow Minded Nit Wits To Be Fans Of His "Bart Didden For Mayor" Facebook Page In Order To Be Mayor.

Celebrity Chef Mario Batali Will Open A New Tarry Lodge In Westport This Spring

According to property broker Skip Lane of Cushman & Wakefield has said Batali and his partners have finalized a $900,000 deal in the Saugatuck area this week.

The group purchased a 2,650-square foot building at 30 Charles St., which most recently housed Bonda Restaurant and Abbondanza Specialty Foods. Batali's restaurant, Tarry Lodge and Enoteca, will open in May or June, according to Lane.

Chef Batali along with our partners Andy Nusser and Nancy Selzer of Tarry Lodge, look forward to creating a casual and delicious destination for foodies, wine lovers, families and everyone in between.

The purchasing decision was influenced by the locale's cultural heritage. Tarry Lodge and Enoteca will have a real Italian flair and feature a great selection of wine offerings. It is intended to be a nice tie-in with Saugatuck's Italian roots and should bring a resurgence of business to the area.

The Charles Street business' proximity to the Westport train station helped to seal the deal.

The new Tarry Lodge be similar in format to sister restaurant, Tarry Lodge, which is based in Port Chester, N.Y.

02/21/11 Bill Would Allow Port Chester to Continue Using Lever Voting Machines

A bill passed by the Senate and Assembly this week would allow Port Chester to continue to use lever voting machines until the end of 2012

State lawmakers sent a Valentine of sorts to Port Chester with the Feb. 14 passage of a bill that would allow the village of 30,000 to continue to use lever voting machines.

Specifically, the measure would Port Chester, which administers it's own elections to use the old-fashioned machines instead of federally mandated electronic machines until Dec. 31, 2012.

A 2002 federal law mandated that all states switch over to electronic voting systems by 2007, both to accommodate disabled voters and, ostensibly, avoid the problems that surfaced in Florida and Ohio during the 2000 presidential election. New York was the last state to come into compliance with the law, as it certified optical scan machines last year.

Assemblyman George Latimer (D-Port Chester - Rye), who co-sponsored the bill in his chamber, said it would save villages money by ensuring that they don't have to lease new equipment from the county or provide training to local election inspectors.

The bill passed both the Assembly and Senate, and is now sitting on the desk of Gov. Andrew Cuomo. His office did not immediately return requests for comment.

If signed by the governor, the new law would clear up current confusion over how Port Chester is to administer their upcoming March elections.

Currently, lever machines and paper ballots are outlawed in the state; at the same time, the county only recently gained permission from the state to lease the machines to Port Cheste
Election Officials have said that optical scan is perfect for elections with a large turnout, but lever machines are easier for the village to run and count in elections with lower turnout.

Port Chester Roundup supports the bill and urges the governor to sign it.

What Kind Of LSD Are They Putting In Bart Didden's Tea? (portchesterroundup.blogspot)
Port Chester Mayoral Wanna Be And Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot" Didden has sent out a press release saying he had "uncovered" the latest disciplinary case against a village employee, who payed another person to do his job.

Bart "The Bigot" Didden's release says, "Recently, in his role as a Village Trustee, Didden uncovered even more bad business practices and possible corruption in Village operations" with the case against a maintenance worker who is accused of paying another person to do his job.

Earth To Bart "The Bigot" Didden

Port Chester Village Manager Christopher Russo, the latest case came to light when Public Works Foreman Rocky Morabito reported that a cleaning woman complained she had not been paid.

It turned out that the woman was not on the village payroll, but had been paid by employee Daniel DeLisa, who claimed he'd been authorized by former Building Inspector Lenny Cusumano to outsource his own village job.

The Truth Is That Glory Hound Bart "The Bigot" Didden Didn't Do Jack

Port Chester Village Manager Christopher Russo Fired Daniel DeLisa on Feb. 11 after investigating the situation. Then Port Chester Village Manager Christopher Russo followed through and reported Daniel DeLisa to the Port Chester Police Department, the Westchester County District Attorney, the New York State Comptroller's Office and the New York State Retirement System.

Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot' Didden has only looked on as the Port Chester Village Manager Christopher Russo has filed more than two dozen disciplinary actions since August 2008, leading to the resignation of Public Works Foreman Gary Racaniello, a 20-year employee; the retirement of Acting Building Inspector Frank Ruccolo, a village employee for about 10 years, and various other penalties. A sanitation worker was fired for abuse of sick leave, for example, and a highway worker was fired for stealing gasoline.

Maybe someone should tell Bart "The Bigot" Didden that, except in cases involving police and fire personnel, the village board of trustees are not involved in disciplinary investigations other than to approve funding for a hearing officer.

The investigations are conducted by Robert Lombardi, assistant to the village manager, and pursued according to civil service procedures.

Can anyone one name a trustee more clueless than Bart "The Bigot" Didden?
