03/23/11 Where The Hell Is The Westmore News? The Westmore Snooze Wont Report On Port Chester's FIRST Parking Meter Scandal And How Port Chester Trustee Sam Terenzi, And Matt Troy Were Involved, But Port Chester Roundup Will

Everyone is reporting on the SECOND Port Chester Parking Meter scandal, but no one is reporting about the FIRST Port Chester Parking Meter Scandal.

Just about everyone in Port Chester knows that last October, Trustee Sam Terenzi was called in to speak to investigators at the Public Integrity Bureau after an outburst during a public meeting in which he referred to a tipster in the parking meter probe as a rat.

It appears that Sam Terenzi's unique experiences with Port Chester Parking meters seem to have given him some special insights and insider information about the SECOND Port Chester parking meter scandal.

Port Chester Roundup is currently working on a story about the FIRST Port Chester Parking Meter Scandal and would like Village residents in the know to send their remembrances and news tips to PortChesterRoundup@gmail.com.

PORT CHESTER ROUNDUP UPDATE:

Today Port Chester Roundup is getting word that over a decade ago the Port Chester Police Department and the Village Manager were made aware of the meter thefts by village employees.

This information was given to the Village Manager by the Westchester County. District Attorney's office during an undercover investigation unrelated to the theft.

Now fifteen years later and millions of taxpayer dollars later the Westchester County District Attorney's and the Port Chester Police Department are all shocked that there were Parking Meter Thefts.

So far on one has been arrested and most Port Chester taxpayers expect no arrests due to the fact that many of the same people are investigating the current thefts.

PORT CHESTER ROUNDUP UPDATE #2

Another Port Chester resident is reporting that Port Chester Trustee Sam Terenzi and Matt Troy were dragged down to the Westchester County District Attorney's office was investigating reported wrong doings with an amnesty program in the parking violations bureau.

Apparently, the Port Chester Police Chief was unable to develop a case that Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro to move forward on.

After 25 years of being involved in Port Chester politics Trustee Sam Terenzi has had his snout in many public troughs. It doesn't matter if Terenzi is running as a Conservative, a Democrat or a Republican he always ends up with taxpayer funded contract or appointment.

Right, Port Chester Trustee Sam Terenzi he is running around Port Chester telling his 200 bullet voting cronies that Joe Carvin has to be reelected as the Rye Town Supervisor or he will be out $60,000.

And if Terenzi is not taken care of then his key bullet voting supporters wont be taken care of with taxpayer funded goodies.

'Wall of Shame' Logs Illegal and Unsafe Housing Offenders in Port Chester

Patch.com

A 56-page file on the village website details overcrowding and illegal housing cases.

William Oxer and Charles Horton got hit with hefty fines after a home they owned caught fire in September.

Inspectors found an illegal attic apartment and an illegally-enclosed porch when they reviewed the 17 Willow St. home after the fire, which left 10 people homeless. After initially pleading not guilty, Oxer and Horton returned to court last month and paid $4,000 and $5,000 in fines, respectively.
Now, the details of their case are public to anyone who wants to view them on Port Chester's official website.
"A wall of shame, basically," is how Mayor Dennis Pilla described the file during Monday night's board meeting.
Oxer is a former fire chief whose name has been in the headlines recently after he became the second employee sacked in the ongoing parking meter theft probe.
