HEADLINE:Trustee Brakewood May Contest Board Of Trustee Resolution And Meeting.STORY:Port Chester Trustee
Dan Brakewood says that the August 8th Meeting held at the mayors office, at 10 Pearl Steet, was illegal, because he nor the public was not notified of the meeting..
The meeting was for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new attorney for the Brody case. Mr. Brakewood said that this illegal meeting and resolution has the potential of giving the Village Of Port Chester millions of dollars of liability.
Trustee Brakewood, who is a strong open government advocate, said he was particularily upset that this resolution was passed without public input.
Port Chester Village Attorney Anthony Cerreto said he would resarch if the meeting and resolutions were void, because Trustee Brakewood and the public were not properly notified about the meeting.
Mr. And Ms. Abel of the Westmore News was notified 30 minutes, before the meeting occurred, but Port Chester's most influential newspaper the
True Blue Conservative Review was not even notified about this meeting.
It is unclear if the Journal news received 30 minutes notice that a meeting was being held in the mayor's office at 10 Pearl Street.
