An assistant clerk in Port Chester will become a full-time court administrator in the troubled Greenburgh Town Court, which has been criticized in audits for poor oversight and sloppy record-keeping. The Town Board plans to hire Regina Hill on Wednesday to oversee the court, which handles misdemeanor criminal cases and traffic violations.
A bloc of Hispanics, estimated at a little over 20 percent of the voters, successfully installed a candidate of its choosing on a city council after a federal judge ordered the traditional one-person-one-vote system altered because the majority continued to prevail in election after election.
It isn't easy being green. And it is expensive to stay that way. Especially where Rye Town Park is concerned.
With so many excellent pints of ice cream available in grocery and specialty stores, it can be hard to justify the expense and effort required for a trip to an ice cream parlor, unless you have a Little League team in tow.
