NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY
HONORS USA BANK RECEPTIONIST
Port Chester, NY June 30, 2009 – USA Bank is proud to announce that one of the bank’s receptionists, Janice Cianflone, has been honored by the New York State Assembly for her work as a local artist.
Ms. Cianflone received a Certificate of Merit, presented in person, by New York State Assemblyman George Latimer. The Certificate reads as follows: “In recognition of your works on display at USA Bank, Port Chester, from your friends in the State of New York; June 2009.”
“He walked in and I thought ’what is he handing me?’ I didn’t know what it was,” Cianflone said. “Isn’t that something?”
Cianflone has been displaying more than a dozen paintings and drawings at the bank’s Port Chester branch located at 601 North Main Street. They are mostly contemporary landscapes of Westchester County. The mini-exhibit will be on display for a couple more months.
In addition to her day job, the resident of West Harrison also teaches drawing & water color painting at Westchester Community College, provides private art lessons and is a member of the Greenwich Arts Society.
More of Cianflone’s works will be on exhibit August 3-29 at the Greenwich Arts Society, 299 Greenwich Avenue. The theme is called “Sea & the Sky.”
