William "The Mason Who Made Out Big Time" Oxer has decided to retire rather than face disciplinary charges related to Port Chester’s parking meter revenue collection process.
Village Manager Chris Russo has accepted his resignation and William Oxer gets to enjoy a taxpayer funded retirement, because the village of Port Chester has agreed to drop the charges.
Russo has once again agreed to drop the charges in return for his resignation.
It’s the same favor he did for Department of Public Works General Foreman Gary Racaniello who resigned last year amidst an investigation into missing parking meter revenue.
Gary Racaniello, who was in charge of the parking meter funds, was hit with 36 charges and suspended without pay back in September.
He resigned a week later, with a sweet heart deal dropped the disciplinary charges being droped and removed from his personnel file.
On January 21st of this year, 20 charges were leveled against William Oxer, the employee who was empting the cash out of the meters.
Oxer, a former volunteer fire chief who earned $57,614 a year in his Department of Public Works mason job, was suspended without pay for 30 days on January 24 and was back at work pending a disciplinary hearing when he made his sweetheart deal with the village manager of his decision to retire.
Who knows if the County District Attorney Janet DiFiore is still investigating the missing parking meter revenue and the crooks involved.
Maybe Janet DiFiore Is Disgusted That Chris Russo Keeps Making Deals With The Parking Meter Players.
Unemployed Mason's Should Dust Off Their Resume, Because William Oxer’s Retirement Leaves Another Opening In The Port Chester Department Of Public Works
