Dear Superintendent Starks,

On August 27, 2007 a 21-year-old local woman was abducted and brutally raped in our Village. Within a few days, our department identified a suspect and received information he had fled to Chicago.

On September 4, 2007 a warrant was issued charging the suspect, Federico Odaz-Cejia with kidnapping and rape. Members of our department were in constant communication with Sergeant Elvin Boone from the Fugitive Apprehension Section of your Central Investigations Unit.

On Friday, September 8, just four days after the warrant was issued, we received word from Sergeant Boone the suspect was in custody. When the subject was arrested, he related to arresting officers that he had knowledge of the warrant but didn't care because he was intending to return to Mexico as soon as he possibly could.

I extend my sincerest gratitude to the Chicago Police Department, especially Sergeant Boone and the members of the Fugitive Apprehension unit. Through their diligent efforts, a dangerous predator has been removed from our streets.

Brian Harrod May Be Moving Into Belle Fair Real Soon Thanks To Altima Partners And Joe Carvin.

STORY:

Joesph Carvin Of Rye Brook And His Altima Partners Hedge Fund Of White Plains, NY And London England are about to be sued for millions.

Carvin, Altima Partners and certain Republican political operatives libeled, slandered and intentionally caused emotional distress because of reports about Mr. Carvin's campaign and Altima Partner's gold investments.

Mr. Carvin Knowingly and falsely claimed that Brian Harrod was "an integral part of the Democratic campaign."

This comment was obviously made on behalf of Altima Partners, because the next words out of Mr. Carvin's mouth were....

"He [Brian Harrod] is endeavouring to destroy my livelihood."

Mr. Carvin's "livelihood" is Altima Partners of White Plains, NY and the United Kingdom.

It is a vicious lie and heinous slander to insinuate that Mr. Harrod is endeavouring to destroy Mr. Carvin's livelihood from Altima Partners.

Mr. Carvin is clearly seeking to defame and harm Mr. Harrod on behalf of Altima Partners.

Mr. Harrod and his publishing and Internet properties have been viciously attacked by Mr. Carvin in the Westmore News only because Mr. Harrod has posted links to the Altima Partner's Tajik gold dealings.

It is also interesting to note that Mr. Carvin made the libelous remarks about Mr. Harrod in a Westmore News article about his campaign practices being found to be unfair by the Westchester Fair Campaign Practices Committee.

Basically, Mr. Carvin's campaign was cited for repeatedly making false remarks about his political opponents.

Mr. Harrod is aware of other instances where Mr. Carvin and others associated with him have also made slanderous remarks.

About 60 days ago Mr. Harrod settled a lawsuit with Port Chester Trustee Dominick Cicatelli concerning false statements made about Brian Harrod. It is also interesting to note that many of the same persons involved with Mr. Cicitelli at the time are now working in concert with Mr. Carvin.

In the Westmore News article entitled "GOP Campaign found by group to be unfair" Mr. Carvin makes false statements about persons and relationships that he clearly has no first hand knowledge of.

When Mr. Carvin is deposed it will be interesting to find out whom Mr. Carvin was involved with when it came to manufacturing these vicious lies about Mr. Harrod.

On Monday Brian Harrod will be attending a public meeting in a public building with a video camera to document if Joseph Carvin makes any more slanderous statements on behalf of Altima Partners.

I do not know what the laws are in England, but in the United States Of America you do not make false statements and viciously slander some one for posting a news link in a blog.

Pace University law students got to pick the brains of (and have a cocktail with) the black-robe crowd during the annual “Meet the Judges” event at the law school this week.

The judges, some of whom are practicing attorneys, advised and encouraged the students, who weren’t shy about asking the judges for their thoughts about the law.

“For most of us, our bark is worse than our bite,” said Francis Nicolai, the administrative judge for the 9th Judicial District of the state Supreme Court.

The event, sponsored by the Westchester County Bar Association, featured remarks by New York State Bar Association president Kate Madigan, who encouraged students to join the bar association (once they pass it, of course) and told the judges that lobbying state lawmakers to raise judicial salaries is still “the number-one, front-burner issue” for the group.....

Many publishers are looking to come in to Port Chester and offer an alternative to the Abel's negative and biased reporting. The good news about Bernie "I Forgot To Pay Over 100 Property Tax Bills" Abel's vendetta is that Port Chester just might once again have a second or third news paper.

Tiny little Rye has three weekly newspapers. Why can't Port Chester have three newspapers.

Maybe we should encourage the Abel's to continue to keep using the Westmore News as a Bully Pulpit for their tax vendetta against the Town Of Rye, so that we can get a second or third newspaper.

When Rachael Sage was growing up in Port Chester, N.Y., it was evident she would enjoy a career in the arts. The only question was which discipline she would embrace.

Sage, a self-taught pianist, was writing songs at age 4. She was accepted into Manhattan's prestigious School of American Ballet while in junior high school. An accomplished painter, she received a drama degree from Stanford University in California.

"Diversity is good," Sage said while calling from her Manhattan apartment. "It's really great to be able to do a number of things well. But it became apparent that it would be best for me to harness my drive into one endeavor. I found that if I didn't focus on one thing, I would never build any momentum for myself."
