11/13/07 - Edirorial - The Port Chester Village Manager Is Dishonoring The Sacrafices Of Veterans By Illegally Denying Freedom Of Information Requests

Yesterday Americans honored all the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States military, and the over 1.4 million men and women who wear the uniform today and defend us around the world.

As you read this editorial, a soldier climbs a dusty road in northern Afghanistan. Another soldier is on his hands and knees, somewhere in an alley in Baghdad. A sailor is below decks working on air craft so that they may fly over the sky. Another sailor is in a submarine underneath the polar ice caps, as we speak. A marine is on a bitterly cold hill in the DMZ, facing the enemy in North Korea. And why do they do it?

Why does that young marine recruit get off the bus this afternoon at Parris Island, to the rigors of boot camp?

He does it to protect our rights and freedoms.

He takes an oath to obey and defend and obey Constitution and the laws of land with his very life if necessary.

The Port Chester Village Manager recently should have taken yet another government oath of office now that he has assumed the role of Port Chester Village Clerk.

But all of these oaths that Mr. Williams has taken to follow the laws of the land mean nothing, because at Port Chester Board Of Trustee Meeting After Port Chester Board Of Trustee Meeting he has ignored and refused to fill a Freedom Of Information Request for access to Public Documents.
The Freedom Of Information Request for access to public records is now over five months old.

What would a a soldier huddled in Valley Forge think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would a soldier defending the White House as it burns in the War of 1812 think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would thousands who died in one day in the Gettysburg battlefield think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would the brave men who lie beneath the crosses on Flanders fields think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would a soldier getting off and wading through with the cold surf behind him and the machine guns ahead of him on the beaches of Normandy think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would the brave men that suffered the bitterness of a Korean winter, the steaming jungles of Vietnam, or the hot sands of the Middle East think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

What would the men and women who are exceptionally brave and incredibly bold as they complete missions in the darkness of a Baghdad night think of Port Chester Village Manager Bill Williams refusing to see that a freedom of information request was not filled for five months?

Perhaps, I should ask my son who suffered through three IED attacks and recently returned from a tour in Iraq come to a future Board Of Trustees Meeting and tell Mr. Williams what he thinks of someone who denies a citizens constitutional rights by refusing to fill a Freedom Of Information request for access to Public Documents.

Cadet nurses deserve status of veterans

Veterans Day comes and goes, but the U.S. cadet nurses of World War II, created by the Congress, signed into law on March 23, 1943, and by the president, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces in June 1943, still wait for benefits denied by the users and discarders, the federal government.

Recruited, uniformed and insignia-d, I worked 12-hour shifts, had as many as 50 patients, and was exposed to disease and death. We took the oath to serve all of the military and the home front, which we did. Serving to hold up the federal hospital and all of the military - Army, Navy and Marines. There was no separate Air Force, and there was segregation in World War II.

An equity bill was presented in the 1990s - but Congress and the president have done nothing. I ask you: Does government serve the people, or are they users and discarders? I know. Do you?

11/12/07 - Westchester County Argues That The Sound Cleanup is Too Expensive

HEADLINE:

SOURCE:

Thissphere.blogspot.com

QOUTE:

“We are all for protecting Long Island Sound, but you’ve got to balance that over what people can afford to pay,”

STORY:

Westchester County has finally said publicly what its officials have known for a long time – that it will take a hell of a lot of money to meet the Long Island Sound cleanup’s nitrogen reduction goals at its two biggest sewage treatment plants, in Mamaroneck in New Rochelle. In fact, they seem to be saying that the benefit is not worth the cost.

The cost estimate, according to yesterday’s New York Times, runs from $355 million to $573 million, which is almost as much as one of the original estimates for doing nitrogen removal at every sewage treatment plant on the Sound in New York....

... cover heavily-populated areas - ' New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, parts of White Plains and Scarsdale, Harrison, Port Chester and other towns - ' and presumably people who live there would be happy to share the costs. The other presumption, however, is ...

11/10/07 - Port Chester Editorial - Find middle ground on sex education

Find middle ground on sex education

“A veteran is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for an amount of up to and including their life.”

When will our schools get sex education right? I am referring to the article about an Irvington Middle School boy who told his parents, 'Today at school I learned that oral sex is safer than anal sex.' I also saw a TV special on a middle school in Maine that sells birth control and condoms to children as young as 11.

Maybe it is just me, but selling birth control and other forms of contraception is giving children incentive to engage in sexual activity. Don't get me wrong. I believe every person has a choice, but an 11-year-old probably cannot make the right choice when it comes to sex. At that age, a child's body is not even fully developed and will continue to change for years to come. The right approach to sex ed lies somewhere between abstinence and the handing out of contraception

By now it is fairly obvious that the abstinence-only approach isn't working; however, we do not need to promote sex. The amount of information that we throw on our kids should be done in school and at home gradually. Kids at 11 do not know the same amount as an 18-year-old. We do not need to rush them into premature sexual activity. I believe children should be aware of the different types of contraception, but should not bring it home from school and at no point should they be encouraged to engage in one type of sex over the other.

11/09/07 - Apparently Carvin Has Appointed A Transition Team Of Sleazy Advisors, Who Are Led By Bernie And Richard Fable (AKA Dis-Abel And Un-Abel)

Rye Town Employees Are Forced To Put Out Rat Traps After Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin's
"Republican Transition Team" Leaves Town Hall.

The day after the election Rye Town Hall was invaded by a bunch of low-life bums appears to be the Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin Republican transition team.

All of Port Chester are shocked at how Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin's closest advisers have came to Town Hall the day after the election to gloat and attempt to throw their weight around the Town Rooms.

Everyone is saying that when Dennis Pilla or Larry Rand, became mayors their close advisers did not show up to the Village Rooms to act like vermin.

The whole town has seen how the Democrats have been a class act since the election results came in Tuesday Night.

The Democrats conceded the election and encouraged the residents of the town to rally around and support Republican Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin.

The Democrats have sent letters to the newspapers again encouraging Town residents to support Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin.

The Democrats have promised a smooth transition and the Rye Town Supervisor has promised to meet with the Rye Town Supervisor elect to consult with him about the budget.

The Democrats have been gracious. hospitable and honored the electorial process

But Four of Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin's closest advisers have came to Town Hall the day after the election to gloat and attempt to throw their weight around the Town Rooms.

Then they showed at a town meeting where the Town Budget is being presented and making ignorant remarks and acting like a bunch of drunken chowder heads.

Town employees are afraid that these clowns who lack in the social graces are members of the Supervisor Elect's Republican Transition Team.

Supervisor elect Joe Carvin could have sent down Mr. Norias, Mr. Gelfarb and maybe someone from Rye neck and Port Chester.

But no Rye Town Hall is invaded by a Rat Pack of dirty vermin talking trash to anyone who will listen.

Is This The Suervisor Elect's Transition Team?

Transition Team Member #1

First ex-Port Chester Republican Chairman Janus "I Love A Racially Charged Campaign" Richards showed up asking for a budget and making wise cracks about that there are too many people working in the Town.

Worse yet, he was even speculating that Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin was making him his personal Secretary.

I guess Janus's Chiropractic business isn't doing too well nowadays. It's about time that Janus got a real job anyway.

As you know, before the Bart "The Bigot" Didden flier and the swastika that appeared in the the last Mayoral campaign.

And way before the psychotic Bernie "I Forgot To Pay Over 100 Property Tax Bills" Abel started saying the Town Of Rye was anti-semantic for Joe Carvin on cable TV every month. Janus "I Love A Racially Charged Campaign" Richards was known as Janus "The Boy Toy" Richards.

The reason ex-Port chester Republican Chairman Janus "I Love A Racially Charged Campaign" Richards was called the "Boy Toy" was that I never seen a chiropractor with so little work.

But then I remembered Janus "I Am A Boy Toy Who Loves A Racially Charged Campaign" Richards married the daughter of a rich guy that recently sold Greenwich Radio Station WGCH.

In fact, she is a rich high profile republican public figure like the Boy Toy Who Loves A Racially Charged Campaign, because she hosts the longest running radio program in Greenwich with her father.

I have often wondered if the rich Winnick's of Greenwich give the Boy Toy an allowance or something, because he just doesn't seem to be a very busy chiropractor.

Tell me have you ever heard of a Doctor having to take a day job as a secretary.

Surely, ex-Port Chester Republican Chairman Janus "The Boy Toy Who Loves A Racially Charged Campaign" Richards was only joking when he was going take a day job as a secretary.

TRANSITION TEAM MEMBER #2

Of coarse Sam "I Forget Which Political Party I Am With This Week" Terenzi also showed up at Town Hall the day after the election telling folks how he was the one who delivered Joe Carvin his victory.

Plus Terenzi took his cue from the Boy Toy and made multiple trips to Town Hall in the days after the election.

Is Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin Really Going To Hire Terenzi?

Will Rye Town History once again repeat itself?

Will Terenzi once again cause a bad auditors report to occur?

Of Coarse, Mr. Carvin, Mr. Norias and Mr. Gelfarb will then politely ask Mr. Terenzi for and explaination.

Then Terenzi will rudely tell them to go "F" themselves.

The three Rye Brook Boys need to learn that if you are going to lie down with the dogs, you should not complain if you get fleas.

I am sure that Sam is a changed man and the problems that he had with the Port Chester Republican party, The Town Of Southeast, The Town Of Rye and a host of others is all water under the bridge.

TRANSITION TEAM MEMBERS #3 And #4

Yes, The Bowman Avenue Big Spender - Bernie "I Forgot To Pay Over 100 Property Tax Bills" Abel, who founded of the Hopelessly Biased Rag Known as the Westmore News showed up at Town Hall with his little spoiled brat of a son Richard "The Rye Town Drama Queen Who Likes To File False Police Reports" Abel.

Yes, The Fables also came to Town Hall to gloat and try and intimidate Town employees multiple times this week.

The first time "Dis-Abel" and "Un-Abel" showed up was of coarse the day after the election saying that "Things were going to be changing at Town Hall" and that other news sources such as the True Blue Consevative Review and Port Chester Roundup were not going to be allowed to come by Rye Town Hall after the first of the year.

Well, the True Blue Conservative Review has news for "Dis - Abel" and "Un - Abel"

There has been a change in plans now that Bernie and Richard Fable have showed up at Town Hall with Janus "The Boy Toy" Richards and Sam "I Forget Which Political Party I Am With This Week" Terenzi.

The True Blue Conservative Review was going to go back to focusing solely on Port Chester matters, but now that The Bowman Avenue Big Spender and his pip squeek of a son wants to talk some trash I guess I will continue to focus on Rye Town and Rye Brook.

Why are these political low lifes and biased wanna be journalists comming to gloat and represent Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin at Town Hall?

What is Jananne "I Am So Phony" Abel's excuse this week.

I guess Jananne "I Am So Phony" Abel was too busy writing about how Supervisor Elect Joe Carvin credited the Hopelessly Biased Westmore News founder Convicted Tax Cheat Bernard "I Forgot To Pay Over 100 Property Tax Bills" Abel, a Rye Brook resident who cheated Blind Brook school Children, for starting the Tax Vendetta against the town five years ago which eventually led to Mr. Carvin's victory.

11/09/07 - Port Chester Roundup Wants To Sincerely Thank Richard Fable Of The Westmore News For Mentioning Us In His Hopelessly Biased Rag.

Port Chester Roundup will personally answer all emails sent to PortChesterRoundup@gmail.com

For example here is an email we got yesterday.....

Hi,

I enjoy reading your blog, especially the creative use of typography and headlines and the images. (Is that really a picture of you in the profile?)

[Response:] No that guy is much more handsome I am. Believe it or not I am a cranky one eyed reporter that types with one finger.
Further, I would like to appoligize to all the readers of this blog and to the readers of the True Blue Conservative Review for all of the typos. Unfortunately, my visual handicap gets in the way at times.
Hoerever, if you do notice a typo and I will correct it immediately.

I noticed you haven't covered yesterday's elections yet - I would be interested to read your take on it, given what you've had to say about the situation so far in the other stories on your blog.

[Response:] I admit I was a bit slow to report on the Bernie Fable's Rye Town Tax Vendetta Victory. Basically, I must admit I was somewhat angry seeing that miserable Bernie Fable and the hopelessly biased rag known as the Westmore News getting all that revenge against the Town Of Rye.

However, here are some links about the election.....

I look forward to reading your comments, and I hope you'll keep at it.

[Response:] I am planning on continuing Port Chester Roundup and Rye Brook Roundup. However, I am going to try a become more fair and balanced in my reporting. I don't want to continue being like Bernie and Richard Fable and the hopelessly biased rag known as the Westmore News.

I would appreciate it if you and other readers of Port Chester Roundup gave me some guidance on the proper tone for the blog. Unlike Bernie and Richard Fable I am willing to listen to my readers.

PS - I found out about your blog through the Westmore News! I like to read every one's perspective on an issue.

[Response:] Several people have told me they have started reading the blog, because of the Westmore News front page story that kept mentioning this blog. I really must thank Richard Fable for letting all of his readers know about my blog.

You also may get even more perspectives on Port Chester. I had a newspaper publisher contact and meet with me and another person from Port Chester. The publisher reads Port Chester Roundup and is considering developing a second Port Chester newspaper.

Thank you,

Name Withheld By Port Chester Roundup so that the vindictive Bernie Fable and the Hopelessly Biased Rag Known As The Westmore Snooze Can't seek revenge.
