Port Chester Taxpayers Can Always Count On Knuckle Dragger Bart "The Bigot" Didden To Come Up With A Very Simple Wrong Answer
Mayor Dennis Pilla has started to revive a dispute with one of Port Chester's larger property owners, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, over the condition of walkways around the Metro-North train station.
Port Chester residents are complaining about the snow and ice, and the village says it's the MTA's job to clear it.
Anthony Cerreto, the village attorney, said the MTA has the same obligation as any other property owner.
"I just don't think it's right to have a double standard," Cerreto said.
In 2007, an MTA attorney wrote to Cerreto that it was not responsible for maintaining anything beyond the parking lots, train platforms and staircases leading up to them. Local codes do not apply, spokeswoman Marjorie Anders said Thursday.
"We are a public benefit corporation of the state of New York, and county, city, village, town, school districts do not have jurisdiction over us," she said.
At that time, the village talked about taking over maintenance under a formal agreement with the agency, but was offered a "paltry" amount.
During the Monday February 7th meeting, village board members talked about possible steps, including a warning letter or court summons.
"If it's the MTA and we're issuing an appearance ticket, how do we issue an appearance ticket to the MTA?" Police Chief Joseph Krzeminski asked the board.
Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot" Didden tried to contribute to the discussion with one of his very simple wrong answers. Didden said,"Catch the first train going by."
Once again Port Chester residents are wondering,"What kind of LSD are they putting in Bart Didden's Tea?'
