08/25/07 - If You Eat A Big Fancy $35 Meal And Drink A Bottle Of Water, Then Pellegrino Will Donate A Buck To The Hungry.

.......Starting Sunday and going through Thursday, you can order a three-course meal at more than 20 Westchester restaurants for $25 at lunch or $35 at dinner. You'll get a free bottle of San Pellegrino or Acqua Panna water, and Pellegrino will donate $1 to Share Our Strength, a nonprofit that helps the hungry.


And the meals sound pretty good. At F.I.S.H. in Port Chester, you can choose between a salad or a seafood soup for your first course, and a pan-roasted salmon or a wood-roasted chicken for your entree........

08/13/11 - 73-Year-Old Port Chester Man Gets Four Stitches On His Birthday

A 73-year-old man got bashed on his birthday.
Police said the Port Chester man, who turned 73 yesterday, was sitting in El Tesoro Restaurant, 14 Main St., when a young man walked up to him, said, "I don't like you," and punched the older man in the head.


A shirtless Jacquine Molina, 28, of 241 S. Regent St., Port Chester, was found running from the restaurant.......

08/10/07 - Port Chester Police: Whomever got into Rancho Grande Restaurant, slipped through a jagged 1.5-foot-by-2-foot hole in the front window.

Two burglaries and a drug charge are no small matter for a dimunitive thief who slithered through small entry holes to rob two local businesses, police said.


Carlos Garcia-Valdez, 29, was observed buying cocaine on Poningo Street Thursday afternoon, police said.


While being questioned by police, the 5-foot-tall, under-125-pound man admitted to two burglaries, police said........

.....He is also accused of stealing $20 in change from Wellington

Dog Grooming, 135 Willett Ave., between Monday eveng and early Wednesday. That shop was entered through a broken bathroom window, police said.


Garcia-Valdez, of 62 Oak St. was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor........
