Steven C. Davidson, Attorney At Law, Blogs About Dog Fighting In Port Chester

HEADLINE:

Going to the dogs

STORY:

My cell phone died. It got wet. It vibrates when it rings. It was placed somewhere it shouldn't have been placed, and when it rang, the vibration caused it to slid into a glass of soda. That's how it got wet. Now I have to replace it ASAP. My cell phone is a big part of my law practice. Anyway, the Michael Vick story is all over the place. I represented a dog fight case once in Port Chester. Really hard to get behind my client. I love dogs. But I did it anyway. That's my job.

Sunday night after work, me and Kareem from O-Bar ended up going to Port Chester for after hour drinks with this small crew we know. We went to this Spanish dive called tropicana and got to drink ourselves silly and we had a blast.

Also Brian adds.....

"But it's been a real good month in general. And yeah, it's been the best year of my life."

It is good to be young.

08/12/07 - Forget Guantanamo, If the Government Wants To Coerce Secrets From Terrorists Force Them To Make Repeated Road Trips Up And Down I -95

HEADLINE:

STORY:

EDITORIAL

IIT IS TORTURE. Driving Interstate 95 in Connecticut, the main east-west highway in the state, is absolutely painful.

Each trip exacts a mental and physical toll on a vehicles' driver and passengers.

Forget Guantanamo, if the government wants to coerce secrets from suspected terrorists, all it needs to do is put them in a mini-van and force them to make repeated trips up and down the interstate.

I've done it twice this summer, traversing back and forth nearly the entire 111.6-mile stretch from the Rhode Island border to Port Chester, the start of toll heaven and the New York Thruway.

Just because you've passed from the Nutmeg to Empire state doesn't make the drive any more tolerable, it only means more congestion and annoying, traffic-stopping tolls.

Bumper-to-bumper traffic is frustrating enough, but the stops at toll booths clog it even more and make it nauseating as you roll down your window to pay the toll and fumes billow in.......
