05/15/10 Chuck Schumer Is Hopelessly Clueless About The Terror Threat Facing The City

Forget About Terrorism, I Must Use All Of My Resources To Fight Against An Airline Bag Fee !!!!!!

New York City Looses Terror Funds As Chuck Schumer Holds Press Conferences About Facebook And Airline Carry On Bags

Chuck Schumer Should Stop Holding Press Conferences And Start Lobbying Fellow Republican Barack Obama To Restore New York City's Lost Terror Funds

The federal government is severely cutting funding to subway and other transit anti-terror programs, while Schumer is holding press conferences about Facebook.

Schumer should quit holding mindless press conferences and start put pressure on the White House to restore $57 million in Terror Funds.... See More

Over the past five years Schumer has held countless press conferences as New York City has lost an additional 56 Million in terror funds.

New York City should not be forced to settle for less than its fair share of these security funds.

Eleven percent of port security funding does not reflect the fact that time and again New York is the prime target for terrorism in the United States.

It is alarmingly, that Chuck Schumer sat by as the city is only getting 11 percent of the total Federal Transit and Port Security Grants.

Schumer doesn’t hold the president responsible.

Instead, he said officials at Homeland Security and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, rather than the president, when discussing the terror fund cuts.

The bottom line is, New York City continues to be the No. 1 target for terrorism in the United States and it's Chuck Schumer's job to make sure that federal anti-terror funding reflects that reality.

If Chuck Schumer was doing his job properly, then New York City would be able to get 3,000 surveillance cameras in Midtown Manhattan, if more UASI funding is appropriated to the city—something both Mayor Michael Bloomberg and NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly have pushed for.

04/26/10 04/27/10 Westchester' County's Michael Sepe Articulates A Core Set Of Beliefs That Guide His Thinking

Harrison resident Michael Sepe, Who is running for the United States Senate, wants to lead the fight against wasteful government spending and higher taxes. He is a free-market advocate who believes our strength as a nation flows from its people. He believes in a culture of family, patriotism and freedom.

Philosophy:

1. America became a Great Nation by being the leader in the World not a follower of other Nations. We tackled every obstacle through innovation, invention, communication, coordination and finally cooperation by all Americans. Not one obstacle was overcome by government takeover. The more our government takes control of areas of our life, the more we are enslaved by our government.

2. Creating an entitlement for Americans able to work is a sign of a failed Government not a compassionate one. It is only when there is no longer a need for entitlements for Americans able to work can our elected officials claim that they are both successful and compassionate. Americans want jobs so that they can continue on with their lives, not hand-outs that keep them barely hanging on.

3. We need a Government that will elevate and propel people forward, inspire thought, pick up the fallen, clear the path ahead and encourage the mind set of "Yes I Can!!!!". "Tax and spend" policies only stifles innovation, hinders the fallen from getting up and strangles those still standing by placing mine fields in everyone's path. This will only produce the mind set of "Why should I?" and rob everyone of their full potential.

4. America needs to create a massive amount of new job opportunities. The only way to produce that many jobs is by starting the next “American Industrial Revolution” and reclaim the jobs lost overseas. We must build a new generation of manufacturing facilities using the latest in green and clean technology. We must give these facilities the tax incentives they need to be globally competitive. We must coordinate and expedite the creation of these facilities. Each blue collar job created in manufacturing will support an additional 5 jobs from the tax revenues they generate and will ease the financial burden the unemployed are placing on those still employed.

My Call for Unity and my Guarantee of Greatness:

Today, our Country is divided more than at any time in the history of the United States since the Civil War. This is true, at a time, when our Country needs us to be more united than at any other time in our history. Most Americans can find themselves belonging in one of the following two groups: those of you still working, are being taxed to death and those of you, unemployed or under-employed, are scared to death.
We have millions of our University students wondering when they can start their careers and pursue their ambitions. No one is afforded the luxury of feeling secure or being able to enjoy the American Dream. This is not the blessing of the United States of America, nor should it be the America we settle for. We are facing real problems that require common sense solutions. We need to start writing a new chapter in America's history, but first we must remove the elected officials who brought us to where we are right now. Unity is an essential part of moving forward.
Unity does not mean "Uniformity"

The dilemma we face affects every Native-American, European-American, Afro-American, Latino-American and Asian-American. This dilemma does not discriminate between Liberal, Democrat, Independent, Republican or Conservative. This dilemma only knows how to deprive everyone of our security, happiness and our dreams.

My web site contains my common sense solutions to real problems. You can share your thoughts with me by emailing me at: Michael@Sepe2010.com or join our discussion group. I am asking all of you to join with me in writing the Next Chapter in our American History. We have what it takes to make the "Next Chapter in America" the greatest chapter ever for all Americans.
May God bless you and keep you safe.

Your American Brother,
Michael Sepe

03/12/10 Norwalk man sues Port Chester police officers for brutality

A Norwalk man is suing three Port Chester, N.Y., police officers, claiming that one of the officers brutally beat him during a dispute about a parking violation while the other two watched and did nothing to stop the assault.

James Graves, 27, claims he suffered severe head injuries and permanent brain damage as a result of the beating, and he is seeking an undisclosed amount of compensatory and punitive damages from the defendants, Port Chester Officers Anthony Rivera and Aaron Conetta and Sgt. John Teneyck.

The incident occurred on Dec. 4, 2008, and he filed the lawsuit U.S. District Court in White Plains on Feb. 25.

Graves' attorney Philip Russell said it would be inappropriate for him to comment on the matter because he is preparing for trial.

Port Chester Police Chief Joseph M. Krezeminski said he could not comment on the matter, as per the request of the department's attorney Tony Cerreto. Cerreto did not return calls for comment.

The lawsuit alleges that Graves was arguing with Frederick Alderman because Alderman had just placed a wheel wedge on Graves' friend's vehicle. Alderman told Graves and his friend that they would have to pay a $75 fine to have the boot removed, the lawsuit said.

Admittedly intoxicated, Graves was demanding to see a rate card or another indicator of Alderman's authority to enforce parking laws, according to the lawsuit. Graves believed the charges were excessive and questioned why Alderman would not accept a credit card, according to the lawsuit.

Rivera, who the lawsuit claims is Alderman's close friend, observed the argument and told Graves to leave the scene, but Graves continued to argue with Alderman. Rivera reached out his hands and choked Graves, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that Conetta parked his vehicle near the spot where Rivera was assaulting Graves and he did not intervene.

Rivera subsequently walked away, and Graves yelled an obscenity at him, the lawsuit said. Rivera subsequently grabbed a billy club out of his patrol car and smacked Graves in the head "with enough physical force and violence to crack the plaintiff's skull," according to the lawsuit.

Graves was charged with breach of peace and resisting arrest. He was unconscious when he was taken to the Port Chester Police Department and placed in a holding cell, the lawsuit said. The officers did not take a mug shot of Graves, and the lawsuit claims that they refrained from taking the photo because of Graves' visible injuries.

The lawsuit further alleges that Teneyck was in charge of supervising Conetta and Rivera, and he failed to do so.

Graves spent four-and-a-half hours in a holding cell, bleeding from the head and going in and out of consciousness, he said.

He was not taken to the hospital until the officers on the day shift arrived and saw his condition, the suit said.

He stayed in the hospital for several days and underwent brain surgery for his injuries, according to court documents.

The incident was investigated by supervisors in the Port Chester Police Department, and the lawsuit claims Conetta, Rivera and Teneyck corroborated together and made false statements. The lawsuit further states that surveillance footage of the incident was erased.

Graves' criminal trial is set to begin April 1 at Port Chester Justice Court.

02/26/10 Press Release Port Chester Business Sets Up Social Wish List Community For Parents And Their Kids Promotes Giving Back By Introducing MYKID GIVES

MyKidsRegistry.com, a children’s wish list social networking site recently announced its launch. The site is a resourceful and comprehensive tool for parents dedicated to birthdays, birthday parties and holidays. A parent can create a wish list for their child, or some may enjoy creating one with their child. Parents can help guide their children to give as well as receive with the newly created “MYKID GIVES” page. The “MYKID GIVES” is a page dedicated to charities, with a focus on kids.

The concept of mykidsregistry.com is to save parents and party guest time and money. It is a reality that kids love toys but is also a reality there are those in need as well.

Segal believes in allowing kids to be kids and receiving toys on their birthday is part of being a kid. She also believes as a parent it is her responsibility to teach her children to give and it is her hope that others will as well.

That said, the MYKID GIVES page was recently launched. The MYKID GIVES was always a part of the original concept. Segal’s goal is to provide awareness to the charities listed and to give parents the option to request a charitable donation in lieu of a gift.

Mykidsregistry.com will not profit from supporting any charity. It is simply a page to raise awareness and give members an additional option for their party and guests. Mykidsregistry.com will not charge a handling fee for any donations made to a charity.

Its free membership is designed to assist parents in planning and shopping for the perfect party. It is a one stop shopping social community for kids birhtdays and holidays.

MyKidsRegistry.com allows parents to invite guests through the online email invitation function. It is a nice way of being green and again “saving money”. The email invites also allow guests to easily view the party girl or boy’s wishes and charity of choice.

Mykidsregistry.com also provides an online photo album, which in turn can be a “through the years” celebration of photos.

The site makes memory sharing easy and as with any social networking site, friendships can be made. Currently MyKidsRegistry.com has over 260 members across the U.S.

Segal writes a weekly blog on the site and award-winning early education member and founder of wigglegigglelearn.com, Tracey Stuckey, is a guest blogger. Members are encouraged to also start their own blogs. MyKidsRegistry.com was also recently featured on Naomi’s blog, TalesOfASingleParent.com and interviewed, via podcast.
