Port Chester is a Village that is part of the Town of Rye and is located off Exit 10, Cross Westchester Expressway (Rte 287) in the right lower quadrent of Westchester County next to Rye, Rye Brook and moments from Connecticut.
"The 46 single-family-homes currently listed in Port Chester are facing the toughest market conditions. The median sales price for a house was $440,000 on April 1, compared with $570,000 last year and $498,000 five years ago. For all of Westchester, the median sales price of a single-family house in 2008 was $650,000. (The listing service has not yet released the median for the first quarter of this year.)
The average length of time on the market for a single-family house is 210 days; last year it was 140"
