Moody's liked what it saw when reviewing Port Chester's finances this year, upgrading the village to a strong "double A" rating this week.

The new Moody's ratings are also proof of the great strides that Port Chester Mayor Dennis Pilla has made since he's been in office.

Moody's Investors Service hailed Port Chester's "sound financial position" and said the village has a "sound underlying credit rating".

The double-A, or "Aa" ranking given by the New York City-based financial analyst firm indicates a strong financial outlook and low credit risk.

Moody's said Port Chester maintains "strong financial reserves" under "pro-active management.

Moody's reports that the village's financial position has greatly improved over the past six years,and will remain strong with strong so long as Port Chester voters reject Extremist TEA Party Lunatic Bart "The Bigot" Didden's bid to become Mayor.
