Darrell Sokol, MPA, NHA, RRT, of Yorktown Heights, has been appointed Administrator of Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre.
Highly regarded as a leader in the Westchester County healthcare community, Mr. Sokol was previously the administrator at Waterview Hills following advanced training and experience as a registered respiratory therapist at Westchester Medical Center, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital and Benedictine Hospital.
Mr. Sokol states, "I am extremely pleased to be a part of the Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre team. Our staff is comprised of people who are not only highly trained, but who really care about the residents of the facility." He adds, "With a 5-Star rating and ongoing facility renovations, we are extremely proud of the quality of rehabilitative, nursing and medical care we provide to the community."
Mr. Sokol holds a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management, as well as a Masters of Public Administration in Health Services Management, from Mercy College. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of the New York State Health Facilities Association, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Association of Respiratory Care. After serving many years, Mr. Sokol achieved the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.
