John McFarlane of Bridgeport has been charged in connection to the armed robbery of a Subway sandwich shop in Port Chester on Dec.

Port Chester Mayor Dennis Pilla announced on social media today that the Port Chester Police Department made separate arrests today of the recent Subway armed robbery suspect and the South Regent Street murder suspect.

The mayor praised local law enforcement officials on Facebook saying"Our PD is second to none, and has a very high closure rate. The bad guys can run, but they can't hide." Mayor Pilla has become a fan of using social media as a way to connect with the residents of the Long Island Sound village of over 30,000 residents.

 He uses social media to take action and show real customer service.

There is no team behind his social media efforts responding on his behalf. He is behind it all making a difference, and at a very fast pace. He is all about answering questions and providing his residents with any help that they need.

Mayor Pilla uses social for is encouraging residents to become active in Port Chester Government and to volunteer in the community.

Although Mr. Pilla uses social networks most of the time as a way to communicate his thoughts and ideas to residents, he still communicates with residents in traditional ways.

Connecting with residents through social networks is done on a daily basis for Mayor Pilla.

He is always out on different locations making a differences and cleaning up the village.

Through social media he keeps the residents up to date about what he has been up to and what they can do to help out. Ever since, he has made a difference through using these social networks.

A White Plains man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the shooting of a 21-year-old man this August in Port Chester.
