As usual Joe Carvin spit out the usual recycled unfair and biased lies of Bernie Abel's Town Crier Column from the hopelessly biased rag know as the Westmore Snooze.

As usual Carvin was a loudly and obnoxiously continued the Abel's Tax Vendetta against the Town By making false and wild accusations.

And as usual Rye Town Supervisor Bobby Moribito refused to lower himself to Joe Carvin's level and be negative. Supervisor Moribito talked about the continued fight against the airport, the Legacy Field, the new trees planted in the park, the new walking trails at Crawford park, the new energy efficient lights to be installed at Town Hall, the possibility of new Senior Housing at next to the Legacy Park site, the new flood control plans, etc., etc.

But what Supervisor Moribito fails to understand is that everyone in Port Chester has heard Supervisor Wanna Be Joe Carvin and that wack job Richard Abel falsely say the Town is corrupt. These unfair claims need to be exposed as for what they are - LIES.

Lucky, Deputy Supervisor Michael Borrelli answered their unsubstantiated and false claims in a matter of fact and calm manner. It's about time that Carvin and the wacko Abel's were exposed in a public forum.

When the Republicans screamed about audits Deputy Supervisor Borrelli told them that the reason that you conduct an audit is that you are looking to find areas that you can improve on.

Deputy Supervisor Borrelli further explained that the auditors pointed out some problems with Sam "I Sure Am Sleazy" Terrenzi, the former Rye Town accountant and the Town Board got rid of him a couple of years ago.

Now, of coarse, the disgruntled Sam "I Sure Am Sleazy" Terenzi is a top 5 Joe Carvin individual campaign contributor and a close advisor (or should I say Liar) to Mr. Carvin.

Basically, Sam "I Sure Am Sleazy" Terrenzi has Joe Carvin blaming Supervisor Moribito for screw ups caused by Mr. Terenzi himself.

Deputy Supervisor Michael Borrelli correctly and truthfully pointed out that since Sam "I sure Am Sleazy" Terenzi left the Town the fund balance has been able to grow, while taxes have been cut two years in a row.

Three Cheers to Dominick Lagana for speaking up for the hard working Rye Town employees. It is so unfair that they have been treated so bad by the Abels, Carvin, Gelfarb and Noiras.

The Rye Town Employees should not be unfairly picked on just because Bernie "I Forgot To Pay Over 100 Property Tax Bills" Abel got caught cheating on his taxes again.

Plus Dominick Lagana's closing remarks at the debate brought on a spontaneous round of applause even though the League Of Women Voters asked that the audience not applaud for candidates.

But the Rye Town residents just loved when Dominick Lagana stuck up for the Rye Town Professional Staff and exposed the unfair and unsubstantiated lies cumming from Supervisor Wanna Be Joe Carvin and the hopelessly biased rag known as the Westmore Snooze.

It is really not that hard to get an indepent line in the Town Of Rye as long as your honest and follow the rules.

Anyone can get an independent line with or without political party support if they want one.

I mean Goldie Soloman and that wacko Richard "The Rye Town Drama Queen" Abel even went and got independent lines with any political party support what so ever.

I mean even the author of this blog, Brian "The True Blue Conservative" Harrod got on the ballot in the Town Of Greenwich with no political party supporrt.

Of coarse Goldie Solomon and that wacko Richard "The Rye Town Drama Queen" Abel who got shallacked in their attempts to get elected.

Yes, it is true Goldie Solomon and that wacko Richard "The Rye Town Drama Queen" lost every single voting district including thier own voting district.

It also true that the True Blue Conservative was sucessful elected as a legislator in Greenwich.

It is really very easy to get put on the ballot on an independent line. You just collect signatures correctly and honestly.

Over and over know it all politicians in Port Chester, Rye Neck and most recently Rye Brook have talked about taking over town services in their area of the Town.

Over the years these know it all politicians have ordered four independent reports that have studied eliminating the Town Of Rye, and each and Evey report has said that no village or unincorporated area can provide the services better, faster or cheaper than the employees of the Town Of Rye.

These know it all politician have spent between $250,000 and $500,000 for four independent reports that said it will cost taxpayers more money if the Town is eliminated.

Just how many times do these know it all politician have to waste taxpayer dollars to get the same answer time and time again.

The Hopelessly Biased Rag Known As The Westmore Snooze Will Never Tell You That No other Westchester Town Or City Delivers The Services That The Town Of Rye Delivers At A Lower Cost.

Now we have another know it all politician wanna be named Robert Nioras calling for the Town Of Rye to hire an expensive Town Manager and we have the other know it all politician wanna be named David Gelfarb calling for an expensive Town Purchasing Manager.

Are These Guys Nuts.

We don't need to spend 1.9 Million Tax Dollars on these two very expensive positions, just because the Abel's and the Westmore News have a vendetta against the town.

Town Managers and Purchasing Managers need benefits, retirement and expense accounts.

Forget about it already.

Dear Superintendent Starks,

On August 27, 2007 a 21-year-old local woman was abducted and brutally raped in our Village. Within a few days, our department identified a suspect and received information he had fled to Chicago.

On September 4, 2007 a warrant was issued charging the suspect, Federico Odaz-Cejia with kidnapping and rape. Members of our department were in constant communication with Sergeant Elvin Boone from the Fugitive Apprehension Section of your Central Investigations Unit.

On Friday, September 8, just four days after the warrant was issued, we received word from Sergeant Boone the suspect was in custody. When the subject was arrested, he related to arresting officers that he had knowledge of the warrant but didn't care because he was intending to return to Mexico as soon as he possibly could.

I extend my sincerest gratitude to the Chicago Police Department, especially Sergeant Boone and the members of the Fugitive Apprehension unit. Through their diligent efforts, a dangerous predator has been removed from our streets.

"He [Brian Harrod] is endeavouring to destroy my livelihood."

Mr. Carvin's "livelihood" is Altima Partners of White Plains, NY and the United Kingdom.

It is a vicious lie and heinous slander to insinuate that Mr. Harrod is endeavouring to destroy Mr. Carvin's livelihood from Altima Partners.

Mr. Carvin is clearly seeking to defame and harm Mr. Harrod on behalf of Altima Partners.

Mr. Harrod and his publishing and Internet properties have been viciously attacked by Mr. Carvin in the Westmore News only because Mr. Harrod has posted links to the Altima Partner's Tajik gold dealings.

It is also interesting to note that Mr. Carvin made the libelous remarks about Mr. Harrod in a Westmore News article about his campaign practices being found to be unfair by the Westchester Fair Campaign Practices Committee.

Basically, Mr. Carvin's campaign was cited for repeatedly making false remarks about his political opponents.

Mr. Harrod is aware of other instances where Mr. Carvin and others associated with him have also made slanderous remarks.

About 60 days ago Mr. Harrod settled a lawsuit with Port Chester Trustee Dominick Cicatelli concerning false statements made about Brian Harrod. It is also interesting to note that many of the same persons involved with Mr. Cicitelli at the time are now working in concert with Mr. Carvin.

In the Westmore News article entitled "GOP Campaign found by group to be unfair" Mr. Carvin makes false statements about persons and relationships that he clearly has no first hand knowledge of.

When Mr. Carvin is deposed it will be interesting to find out whom Mr. Carvin was involved with when it came to manufacturing these vicious lies about Mr. Harrod.

On Monday Brian Harrod will be attending a public meeting in a public building with a video camera to document if Joseph Carvin makes any more slanderous statements on behalf of Altima Partners.

I do not know what the laws are in England, but in the United States Of America you do not make false statements and viciously slander some one for posting a news link in a blog.

Mr. Harrod has a first amendment right to post links about Joe Carvin and Altima Partners investment activities concerning tajik gold mining.

Judges mingle at Pace

Pace University law students got to pick the brains of (and have a cocktail with) the black-robe crowd during the annual “Meet the Judges” event at the law school this week.

The judges, some of whom are practicing attorneys, advised and encouraged the students, who weren’t shy about asking the judges for their thoughts about the law.

“For most of us, our bark is worse than our bite,” said Francis Nicolai, the administrative judge for the 9th Judicial District of the state Supreme Court.

The event, sponsored by the Westchester County Bar Association, featured remarks by New York State Bar Association president Kate Madigan, who encouraged students to join the bar association (once they pass it, of course) and told the judges that lobbying state lawmakers to raise judicial salaries is still “the number-one, front-burner issue” for the group.....

Gustavo Gutierrez is one of many business owners in town who help Latin American immigrants stay connected to home.

Along with running a Colombian restaurant, he sells long-distance telephone cards at $5 apiece. Other Main Street merchants sell plane tickets, money orders and shipping services. Their customers are people like Floridalma Tobar, a fast-food worker who calls Guatemala four or five times a week. She calls to check on the two daughters she and her husband are working to support.

But Gutierrez says his life, unlike that of his customers, is firmly transplanted in the United States. He emigrated from Colombia 20 years ago to escape the political violence that killed his father and uprooted his family. He has no desire to go back.

"I have my job here. I have my family here," he said. "You see the news every day, the big problems in my country. That's the reason I don't want to go."

A new study tries to measure such variations in the degree to which Latino immigrants maintain ties to their home country. Researchers have long paid attention to "transnational" migration - the efforts to live in two countries at once, rather than leave the old country behind. But it's been unclear how common the phenomenon is.

When Rachael Sage was growing up in Port Chester, N.Y., it was evident she would enjoy a career in the arts. The only question was which discipline she would embrace.

Sage, a self-taught pianist, was writing songs at age 4. She was accepted into Manhattan's prestigious School of American Ballet while in junior high school. An accomplished painter, she received a drama degree from Stanford University in California.

"Diversity is good," Sage said while calling from her Manhattan apartment. "It's really great to be able to do a number of things well. But it became apparent that it would be best for me to harness my drive into one endeavor. I found that if I didn't focus on one thing, I would never build any momentum for myself."

Sage decided to go with music in 1995, and the move paid quick dividends. Two years later, she landed a coveted spot on the Lilith Fair tour after winning a New York talent contest.....
