Obituaries

Concetta Bisignano, a resident of Walden, NY and a former resident of Port Chester, NY, died April 8, 2003. She was 80 and born August 5, 1922 in Avellino, Morra DiSanctis, Italy to the late Nicola and Costanza Rescigno Covino. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 5 and was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School in 1941. She was married on February 24, 1946 at Holy Rosary Church to Louis Bisignano. Mr. Bisignano died July 20, 1993. She was an Administrative Clerk for the New York Telephone Company for 15 years until her retirement. She was a former parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester and a member of the Choir. She was active in the Port Chester PTA and she was a member of the Union CWA #1103 and Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Bisignano enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her friends and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons: Louis and Nicholas Bisignano; daughter, Lori Bruggemann and her husband Harold, all of Walden, NY; sisters Angelina Covino Forti of Larchmont, NY and Emma and Nicolina Covino, both of Walden, NY; grandchildren: Harold Bruggemann and his wife Renee, Lori Bruggemann and Lois Bruggemann, Christopher Bisignano and his wife, Jackie and Thomas Bisignano, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-9 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Mass will be 11:15 AM on Friday, April 11, 2003 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Westchester Ave., Port Chester, NY. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
