Hospital gains $2.5 million bequest
New York United Hospital Medical Center is the latest village institution to benefit from the generosity of Elise Darlington Lefferts, who left it $2.5 million. Lefferts, who died in March at age 74 and had been a patient of the hospital and its physicians, left the money to the medical center in her will.
