Ernesto leaves 1,700 powerless

In the wake of Hurricane Ernesto, which hit Westchester last Saturday with its whipping winds and left 78,000 customers countywide without power, Port Chester had its share of tree damage and residents in the dark.

New polling place for District 18
Girl Scout House replaced by Edison School
Starting with Tuesday’s primary elections, voters in District 18 in Port Chester will be casting their ballot at a new location. Rather than going to the Girl Scout House in Lyon Park as they have done for years, they will be taking a slightly longer trip to Edison School on Rectory Street.
