Police blotter: Mamaroneck, Pelhams, Port Chester | Sound Shore By Leslie Korngold PORT CHESTER Main Street: One man pushed another through a restaurant’s 5-by-7-foot front window March 4. The damage happened when two men having a fight inside Texas Chili Restaurant at 85 Main St. took the argument outside. Both men fled at 11:30 p.m. Grace Church Street: A 26-year-old Port Chester woman reported her car stolen March 5 to cover up having gotten into an accident near Interstate 287, police said. Police said Maria Isabel Loja reported her car stolen around 11 p.m., saying she could not find it on Willow Street where she had parked it at 5:30 p.m. Police in fact saw Loja driving her car during the time she said it was parked, police said. It was noticeable because of fresh damage, police said. The car was located on the other side of Port Chester on Parkway Drive around midnight. The ignition on the 2007 Honda Accord had not been tampered with but the airbags had been deployed. Police said Loja, of 26 Grace Church St., had in fact slid into a guardrail. she was charged with misdemeanor falsely reporting an incident. Waterfront Place: A Greenwich woman was willing to pay for her cigarettes but not her groceries when she walked out of the Stop & Shop with a cart of unpaid-for groceries after buying her cigarettes at the service desk, police said. Police said Serena Brown, 32, left the store at 4:45 p.m. March 7 after walking through the self-checkout without paying and packed her $300 plus in groceries in her own bags.
