PORT CHESTER - At 15 years old, in her first year of high school, Lauren Seliz found herself in a scary conversation - telling her mother she was pregnant.

PORT CHESTER - At 15 years old, in her first year of high school, Lauren Seliz found herself in a scary conversation - telling her mother she was pregnant.
"She didn't believe it, because I was always the good girl of the family," said Seliz, now 17.
Though abortions have become more common in Westchester in recent years, Seliz was among the nearly 600 pregnant teens who chose to give birth in 2005. She spent days at school having to run out of class to throw up, and eventually her belly became too big for her desk......
